Mission to Mars - Staying There OPENING QUESTIONS: Having an individualized, warm (well sort of) and welcoming home to get back to during your 'day' on Mars can be huge for our mental, emotional and physical health. We're going to have a wee bit of arts-and-crafts fun today here at the end of the semester and thoroughly design our own living space on Mars! To Wit: Grab a piece of blank paper of any sort. Put your name on the back of the sheet, it should not be visible at all on the front. Design a dome living space *in color* (5 meters in diameter at the floor-- so about 16 1/2 feet in diameter) suitable for you and a partner that we will imagine being located inside a lava tube in Mars (as in the Nat Geo Map I have posted on the wall). We'll spend about 40 minutes constructing our diagram and then we'll post them and do a gallery walk. We'll vote for the top 3. For tomorrow we'll use the image generator in chatGpt to redesign one of the top 3 habitations and then we'll do another gallery walk and another vote. I'll print out the top 3!
OBJECTIVE: I will design my own personal living space in a small dome on Mars during today's class. WORD FOR TODAY: See Opener
